EDR’s Environmental division provides consultancy services in the Baltic Sea

EDR was delighted in 2021 to provide environmental services to MMT, an Ocean Infinity Company, as a part of the consent process of the Swedish Government, for the construction of a floating offshore windfarm in the South Baltic Sea.  EDR provided a Marine Mammal Impact Assessment (MMIA), which included hydroacoustic modelling and the production of a Marine Mammal Mitigation Plan (MMMP) to assess and mitigate for any potential acoustic impacts on the geophysical surveys.

Nick Robinson was the principal on the coordination and production of this Impact assessment, having been involved in the writing of mitigation guidelines and strategies for marine wildlife and the environment for over 25 years.

Edward Bowen, CEO of EDR, commented: ‘We were very pleased to provide our consultancy services to such a high profile client in this exciting part of the market. The environmental division continues to grow as we develop our ongoing track record in the offshore wind sector. This is testament to the quality of people and services we continue to provide in supporting clients plans, particularly in the energy transition space.’
