Edward Bowen

CEO

Edward has spent his career managing, diversifying and expanding businesses with direct responsibility for building sales & distributions channels, identifying and establishing new markets and opening regional offices. As a member of the Territorial Army, Edward served in the Iraq invasion of 2003.

In 2008 he joined EPI, where his commercial experience, drive for growth and business acumen helped develop the company into the 2nd largest seismic QC consultancy worldwide, culminating in being presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2013. In 2014, he led a Private Equity backed management buyout, overseeing a service line diversification strategy involving international growth, acquisition, debt refinancing, fund raising and corporate restructuring in the one of the harshest Oil & Gas environments ever seen.

With a strong background client management, he has overseen simultaneous operations in 25 countries with a consultant base of 120+ people working in a variety of roles where teamwork, efficiency and cost have been paramount. He now leads EDR’s growing business.


Samantha Bowen - EDR Managing Director

Samantha Bowen

Managing Director

Samantha joined the seismic industry in 2001, after a period spent working in the London property market. During this time, she has been instrumental in fostering close links with the consultant network. Her previous role was as Managing Director of the EPI Group, which together with the founders, was successfully sold to Private Equity in 2014.

She has a wealth of commercial experience, a strong leadership style and a hands-on approach to looking after clients and consultants alike.


Philippe Queguiner - EDR Director

Philippe has been in the O&G industry for the last 20 years in a wide variety of roles from mine clearance, security, logistics and more latterly HSEQC. He was worked across the globe in a wide range of challenging, remote and austere environments including Iraq, Iran, Yemen and Republic Democratic of Congo.

Philippe, who is based in France, is a founding Director of EDR where his field experience, consultant relations and client engagement continues to support the growth plans for the business.


Brian Goddard and Jenny Goddard - EDR Board Advisors

Brian and Jenny Goddard

Board Advisors

Brian and Jenny founded the EPI Group in 1987 and built the business into the second largest seismic QC/QA consultancy worldwide. During their 30+ years in the Industry they led the business together, working for many of the major IOC, NOCs and Independents in a wide variety of land and marine environments spanning most of the worlds O&G basins.

They acquired several companies during their tenure, including the KTS Group in 2011, expanding operations to the USA and developed several proprietary land and marine software packages to support field consultants. They were awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise in International trade, the highest award bestowed to UK companies in 2013 before selling the business to Private Equity in 2014.


Marc Diakite - EDR Business Development Manger - Africa

Business Development Manager - Africa

Marc is an accomplished HSE expert having spent the last 15 years in a wide variety of roles within the seismic sector. Having worked for land, marine and transition zone geophysical contractors directly, he brings this previous experience in the 2D, 3D, 4D, OBN and OBC market to support clients in their field HSE objectives. As a natural trainer and auditor he has been instrumental in change management, particularly in support of remote or difficult operations. He joins EDR to help grow the client network, principally in Sub-Saharan Africa.


Brooke Bowater - EDR Business Development Manager - Middle East

Business Development Manager - Middle East

Brooke has spent the last 15+ years consulting on risk and crisis management in the Middle East with a focus on security in hostile environments having been based in Kurdistan, Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of this time has been spent in-country where his leadership, management and robust experience have been tested on multiple occasions. Previous clients have included the US DoD and Military, JICA, Stanley, Baker Hill and Aegis Defence Service and most recently Tenaris. He brings an intimate knowledge to EDRs expanding presence in the region.

Responsible for Asia-Pacific

Brad is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Justice of the Peace (NSW, Australia) and Financial Planner with 35+ years’ experience helping Corporations, SMEs and executives with their financial planning, wealth management, business structuring and taxation. He supports EDR with its international taxation, compliance and accounting to ensure clients benefit across multi-jurisdictional transactions. He also enjoys enviable relationships with a number of high profile executives which supports EDR’s Asia-Pacific business development.


Claire Flower - EDR Client Account Manager

Client Account Manager

Claire is a dedicated Account Manager responsible for looking after EDR's growing client base.

She spent the previous 7 years working within the EPI Group in a variety of roles, culminating in her looking after the Chief Executive as an Executive Assistant for 5+ years. During this time, she was exposed to all aspects of the business from looking after clients, consultants and suppliers to liaising with private equity investors, banks and shareholders with increasing responsibility.

All of this invaluable experience has afforded her an exceptional grounding, a solid understanding of business principals and an appreciation of working in a complex organisation with multiple structures across several jurisdictions. She has a passion for helping others and is well known by a number of EDRs clients.

Deon Smook

Consultant Manager

Deon worked for EPI for almost 10 years initially providing support to clients and consultants on the finance/tax side of the business. More latterly as Financial Controller, he was providing support for EPI's business internationally, understanding and complying with complex tax jurisdictions. Prior to this, Deon had a long career in the banking sector in South Africa and brings a considerable practical experience to his new role at EDR. He now looks after the consultant network and assists in field operations.
